The best way to get involved at Intercamp is to drop by one of our editorial meetings, which are in room 7-297C at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays this semester.
There, our various editors hand out story assignments for the week. They will also help you along, coming up with questions and sources. They might also have some handy-dandy tips and background information for you to put in your newfound story.
If you don’t want to take the huge plunge into the world of full-on journalism, feel free to grab a CD to review. There isn’t always a lot to go around, but we generally have a few EPs and LPs to go around. All you have to provide is a 200-word opinion piece of the album. You even get to keep the CD.
If you can’t make it out to our meetings, don’t worry. We send out a weekly email with untaken story ideas. And if you have something to pitch, by all means get ahold of the relevant section editor. Their information can be found on our website under Contact Us or in the masthead of the paper.
